Tegelberg im Winter

Tegelberg, Buchenberg, Breitenberg

Three different mountains and cable cars, all of which get you closer to the incomparable beauty of Mother Nature. Hiking in the mountains, traversing the via ferrata or simply enjoying an exhilarating descent – with its summer toboggan run the Tegelberg in Schwangau offers hours of fun for young and old. On your way up, you will enjoy great views of the “Neuschwanstein” and “Hohenschwangau” royal castles and from the mountain restaurant’s panorama terrace you will have an unforgettable view of the Allgäu Alpine lowlands.
You can watch the paragliders on the Buchenberg in Buching and, if you dare, maybe even have a go yourself … or you can hike to your heart’s content in one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Bavaria, the “Ammergebirge”. Then why not call in to the Buchenberg Alm for a delicious meal.
The Breitenberg in Pfronten has an extensive sunny walking area in the high Alps and the transnational Breitenberg-Füssener Jöchle route with fantastic panoramic views. Mountain hikers, climbers, bikers and sun worshippers – everybody is welcome. Mountain huts and the Berghaus Allgäu provide places to rest and eat.

In the winter, all three cable cars can be used for skiing and tobogganing. Beginners, children and families are welcome on the valley lifts on the Tegelberg, while touring and experienced skiers will find the main Tegelberg descent a real highlight. The Buchenberg is a family skiing area with a wide variety of spacious descents and the Breitenberg has four lift systems to the high Alps where there is a slope for everybody.
But for something really to get the blood racing, try the 2.5 km winter tobogganing run on the Buchenberg and the longest natural snow tobogganing run in the Allgäu on the Breitenberg, which comprises 6.0 km of excitement.
