The Chapel Bridge is the landmark of Lucerne and with 202.90 meters, not only the oldest, but also the second longest old wooden covered bridge in Europe.

In 1993, the Chapel Bridge burnt down almost completely in a fire and was rebuilt in record time. This incident made the Chapel Bridge even more famous than it already was.

The Culture and Congress Center (short KKL) was opened in 1998 with a concert by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

The concert hall is prized for its top-class acoustics and was built by architect Jean Nouvel. The optimum acoustics are achieved by the ratio of room height, width and length.

The Pilatus is with 2132 meters the local mountain of Lucerne. The mountain can be reached either via Alpnachstad with the steepest rack railway in the world or with the panorama gondola and aerial cableway from Kriens.
