You can relax or exercise at the AMERON Berlin ABION Spreebogen Waterside in our VITALITY spa and fitness area. Switch off and enjoy the peace in the spa with a steam bath and Finnish sauna. Or check out your stamina and strength in our fitness room on the 9th floor. With great views over Berlin and the River Spree up to Potsdamer Platz, you can train on a treadmill, exercise bike or cross trainer as well as a power tower with several features. Naturally, the use of our VITALITY spa and fitness area is free of charge for our guests.
If you prefer to exercise in the fresh air, you have plenty of options in the immediate vicinity. For example, you can use our own cycle hire system (April to October) to complete a tour of the city on two wheels. Or you can book a personal trainer for a jogging, walking or Nordic walking tour – including sightseeing.
Tour of the the River Spree
If you prefer your own company, we recommend the tour along the River Spree (around 4.5 km). As you come out of the AMERON Berlin ABION Spreebogen Waterside, go towards the Moabiter Bridge, passing the Abion Villa. Cross the bridge and then walk down the left bank of the River Spree past Bellevue Palace. Then cross Spreeweg and turn into John-Foster-Dulles-Allee. After around 300 m, the path returns to the left bank of the River Spree. On the right-hand side you will then see the House of World Cultures, shortly followed by the Chancellery. Now go up the steps to Moltke Bridge, cross it to the left to get to the other side of the River Spree. Your route now takes you along the “Bundesschlange” (a complex of buildings). Soon you will come to the Luther Bridge. Climb up this to Spreeweg. From here your route takes you through a small park with a railway line on the right-hand side. After passing under the bridge, you will reach Helgoländer Ufer. After a little while, cross Kirchstrasse. You are now back on the site of the AMERON Berlin ABION Spreebogen Waterside.
